Wiping out my National Identity

Wiping out my National Identity Video Performance and flag Barcelona, 2014

Recognizing the manipulative and belic potential of the concept of Nationality, I publicly erase my national identity.

By wiping out the flags of Colombia and Catalonia, my two nationalities, I transform a patriarchal symbol such as nationality into a matriarchal act: a barefoot woman washing off her clothes in a public plaza. It is illegal to attempt against a national symbol, but bleaching it still is not yet regulated.
